April 9, 2008...

That was when the last entry was posted on Weekend in Vegas. Wow, a lot has changed, at least for me, since that time.

Hopefully, life will start to settle down and I can maintain some sense of a routine. Of course, I've probably been saying that for 10 years now.

I was hoping to blog more, but not sure what platform to use. Not that I have anything to say about a particular subject, but occasionally I like to engage in discussions via the world wide web. So, should I use this blog, or start a new one??

Dione Warwick sang, "that's what friends are for" and I must echo her words as i thank you guys for taking time to help us unload the Uhaul. It was an exhausting couple of days and it was refreshing to have familiar faces helping to unpack my junk and by junk I mean furniture, boxes, etc.

Matt, I love that we are already reaping the benefits of living less than 10 miles apart. Larry, I hope work occasionally brings you over, but would love to have you and the family come visit sometime. I know that you won't be able to use the "my friends in town from Wisconsin" card but hopefully we'll be able to hang out in Huntsville soon.

When's the next Boys, uh, I mean, Guys Weekend?

James, I think you should start a blog. Don't be intimidated, you don't have to have profound things to say all the time (take a random sampling of blogs and you will see this is true). I would be interested to keep up with what you are reading/thinking/doing as well as have updates on baby Larry when he arrives. I recommend wordpress over blogspot. Wordpress has a lot more statistical functions built in. For instance, the dashboard on wordpress tells you how many visits and where there are coming from. There is a lot more functionality built in. Posting is very similar.

I enjoyed seeing you at your new house. It was quick and we didn't get to catch up too much, but I was glas that i got to help you. I'm still sad I didn't make the trip up to Wiscy years ago. The end of July looks clear for a Boys weekend.
