Daily Tri Log

Well, I finally got to the gym early enough to do a little mini-tri before work. I ran two miles, biked five miles, and swam 400 meters. It was a little more draining than my usual workout but I feel okay right now. My left calf hurts a bit, but as I stretch it out it feels better. I thought I was going to die when I first got into the pool but I was able to keep a normal pace and finish up in ten minutes. It was hot as crap in the gym today; I was sweating like a beast after a mile running. So I figure even if the weather sucks in Huntsville I should be okay. T-minus 3 weeks and one day till the real deal. I'm psyched.

Good job.

I biked hard twice this week and ran once. I am going to run 8m and swim at least 0.5m tomorrow morning.

I wonder if anyone else is training.

I honestly don't know if I could just go out and run 8 miles. That is harsh.

I think Boner might be the sleeper.

I ran 6 yesterday, but didn't do anything the day before. My goal is to get to the pool today, but it doesn't look good. My parents are coming in town today and I'll probably be cleaning until the moment they pull in the driveway.

Say hey to Marv and Frankie for us. Tell Frankie I miss her and I'll see her soon...real soon.

If you want to really know what Madison is like in the summer, just ask Diane. Of course she didn't see the outside too much.

We were in the elevator in Chattanooga Saturday night before the race. The elevator was packed and this nice looking mother and her young daughter sqeezed in. The daughter started liking her mom's arm and said, "Mommy, you taste good!" The mother told her to stop and looked awefully embarrased. We didn't say anything until she and her daughter left the elevator, and then the comments started.
"I bet she does. Mommy tastes REAL good"

so "Mommy tastes good is a new rally cry for us during a hard climb on the bike.

I can't wait to break that line out with Jen. I wonder how hard I'll get slapped.

I might have spontaneously combusted if I'd been stuck in that elevator and not been able to start making jokes immediately. That's when you need Rob around because he wouldn't care; he'd just start laughing at the mom and saying, "Ha, your daughter licked you and said you taste good!".
