A couple of thoughts...
In hind sight, now that we've seen how well AU can run the ball, have they really underachieved?? I mean, our WR's were supposed to be our strength, team leaders, etc. I guess they have made some big plays, but I also feel like they haven't made the simple plays like last year. Also, they hyped up the O-line, and yes they were great on the run, but Cox rarely had anytime to throw the ball. It seemed like the quick out was there almost every play.
Should I be happy after last year, or is it wrong to want to go undefeated every year?
Has someone checked to see if Leonard Pope is human?
Can somebody tell my why Notre Dame with two losses (one to a terrible MSU team) is ahead of Alabama with one loss to the #5 team in the country? I can't believe I'm being a UA apologist. The polls are a joke.
I heard this little commentary from John Madden on the radio this weekend (Ok, I normally laugh at the stuff he says), and he was talking about just going back to the old bowl system. Let the teams play for conference championships, go to bowl games and then have fans bicker about who's #1. I think I agree with him. If they're not going to institute a playoff, I just assume go back to the way it was and play for the Sugar Bowl every year. It just sucks when your team loses the first game of the season and you're pretty much done hoping for a Championship season.
